8th Annual Golf Outing
Our 8th Annual JWMAF Golf Outing was held June 10, 2023 at Crestview Golf Club. We were extremely thankful for another sold out event. On top of raising over $10,000 through sponsorship and registration, we were surprised to learn that we received a donation from Guys Who Give for over $18,000, totaling nearly $30,000 raised for children in one day!
7th Annual Golf Outing
Everyone’s favorite golf outing of the year was June 11, 2022 at Crestview Golf Club. Thanks to our generous sponsors, golfers, and volunteers, we raised nearly $11,000 for kids in our community. We are also thankful for Girls on the Run to speak at the event and share how appreciated the JWMAF partnership is. Photos from the day can be found on our Facebook page.
6th Annual Golf Outing
Back at full strength for 2021, the JWMAF Golf Outing sold out in a record 11 hours. We owe a huge thank you to our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers. Without you all, we wouldn’t have raised over $10,000 for kids in the community. The need is at its highest since we’ve started the JWMAF and your support continues to be felt throughout Kalamazoo.
5th Annual Golf Outing
With a few changes, we were able to host a fun and safe Golf Outing in the middle of the pandemic. Thanks to our participants, sponsors, Crestview Golf, and generous supporters, we were able to raise thousands of dollars for Comstock youth. We also can’t thank everyone involved enough for being patient with the process.
2019 Holiday Gathering
We want to thank Wax Wings Brewing Co. for hosting the JWMAF Holiday Gathering on December 27, 2019! Friends and family filled the brewery for a holiday beverage, a toast to Josh, and continued to help our great community. Check out photos from the evening on Facebook, taken by Shirley Everett.
2019 JWMAF Soccer Game
Our 5th Annual JWMAF Soccer Game was our most action-packed to date. On top of an exciting shootout victory, the JWMAF raised $3,000 for kids in our community! 4th Annual Golf Outing
Our 4th Annual JWMAF Golf Outing raised over $13,000 for youth in our community! 124 golfers and dozens of volunteers gathered June 8, 2019 at Crestview Golf Club to play games, win raffles, and share stories under the 80° sun. Check out photos from the day on Facebook taken by John Seward.

We want to thank Tibbs Brewing Company for hosting the JWMAF Holiday Gathering on December 28, 2018! Friends and family filled the brewery for a holiday beverage, a toast to Josh and continued to help our great community.
2018 JWMAF Soccer Game
The 4th Annual JWMAF Soccer Game was a huge success! On September 21st at Comstock High School, 39 players played 60 minutes of the game they love with Navy beating Columbia Blue, 2-1. The JWMAF made over $2,700 thanks to our participants, spectators, and donors. Photos from the game were provided by Hohler Photography and can be viewed on Facebook.

2017 Holiday Gathering
We want to thank Tibbs Brewing Company for hosting the JWMAF Holiday Fundraiser on December 29, 2017! Tibbs donated a percentage of all sales that day to the Fund. Friends and family filled the brewery for a holiday beverage, a toast to Josh and continued to help our great community.
2017 JWMAF Soccer Game
Thank you all for making the 3rd Annual JWMAF Alumni Soccer Game a huge success. It was great to bring multiple generations together on the field, announce the new Patrick J. Everett Memorial Scholarship, and raise over $3,500 toward our mission. Check out photos from the game on Facebook.
2nd Annual Golf Outing
The 2nd Annual JWMAF Golf Outing was our most successful event yet, raising over $12,000! 116 golfers, nearly 20 sponsors, numerous volunteers, the Crestview Golf Club staff, and gracious donations were key in making this year’s outing a win for the community. 2016 JWMAF Soccer Game
The 2nd Annual JWMAF Alumni Soccer Game was September 30th at Comstock High School. Two teams battled and the winner was decided by a shootout! Last year was a great time and this year was even better. Photos from this year’s game are on Facebook.
1st Annual Golf Outing
One thing Josh loved was spending time on a course under the sun with his closest friends and family. In honor of his summer love, we created the Annual JWMAF Golf Outing. 30 teams played 18 holes of scramble golf, received lunch, a raffle entry, and giveaways. The outing had your usual competitions like Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin but also added some other great events like the Dizzy Drive and the Junior Club Tee-Off. Between team entries, hole sponsorships, the silent auction and raffle earnings, the JWMAF raised over $9,000!
2015 JWMAF Soccer Game
The Josh Whitfield Alumni Soccer Game is an event where we honor our friend and raise money for students in need. Participants from as far away as Atlanta came back to Comstock to play. People did not need to play in the game to show their support. The JWMAF sold out of t-shirts promoting the fund. Shirt sales and cash donations put the total amount of funds raised over the $10,000 mark for the first time!
